An Extension

Two years ago, during the pandemic, I revisited my painting practice. Clergy stoles are still the mainstay of the Carrot Top Studio business. But paintings, note cards, and now stickers have become an extension of the clergy stole imagery, style and visual messages. Three new sticker designs have just been added to the collection!

I aim to live well. Although far from perfect, I try! Aiming to learn daily and go where God calls me I hope to be able to declare that I have lived well as Paul did in 2 Timothy 4:6-8. That is what this sticker is all about! An artistic note — did you know the sunflower has been used in art history to represent “the Son?”

Dare to hope! See Lamentations 3:21-33 if you don’t know what I’m talking about. Of course life isn’t always easy. There is no Proverb declaring that it should be! In the midst of loss of family and friends, in the midst of unexpected job changes, in the midst of hurt feelings the poet in Lamentations is a model of our hope being in God. Need a visual reminder to hold onto hope? This sticker is for you!

If you’ve followed Carrot Top Studio for a bit you know that I have a passion for labyrinth walking. Whether it’s walking with your feet or with your finger I understand the peace and restoration while ‘unwinding the mind’ in the walk. Curious to walk a labyrinth with your feet? They are fairly easily found the world wide. This is a great tool to see what might be near you! You can find the sticker here, finger lap labyrinths here and a video workshop to download here.

I hope these stickers and thoughts will brighten your day. They’d be great in Christmas stockings. Or use them on your laptop, water bottle, journal cover, and more!
