#777 Ordinary Time clergy stole - Stained glass stole
The traditional stained glass border fabric was the inspiration for this stole. Originally stained glass windows told the story of faith to those that had not been taught how to read. Today we can understand church windows as a symbol of letting your light shine. Without windows, we obviously would not have light inside the dark building. Likewise, God created us to let our light shine on the darkness as a way to spread His love. (Matthew 5:16)
The stole front is crafted from cotton fabric. The symbols are machine appliquéd and the stole has hand painted accents. It is lined with a coordinating solid green cotton fabric like on the front and is interfaced for added body.
